What is Broadcast Services?

MSM Broadcast Services is a professional inside sales service. we specialize in the sale of small spot packages of Community Awareness messages which we air on radio stations throughout the United States. Our Community Awareness Campaigns range from Auto Safety and Drunk Driving to Missing Children and Drug Abuse Prevention. Our Service is used by hundreds of top rated stations.

What does the service do?

Our purpose is to sell advertising availability that would otherwise go unsold by your local sales staff and to expand your advertiser base by selling these packages to non-regular advertisers in the market. While we generally contact most of the businesses in the service area of the radio station, the vast majority of the customers that buy our campaign programs are small service or industrial accounts like general contractors, trucking companies, trades people, small auto repair shops, wholesalers, etc.

What kind of packages do you sell?

Each customer who purchases one of our Community Awareness packages gets a custom-made 30 second commercial which highlights their business and promotes them as an active community supporter.

The spots themselves consist of the business name, address, phone number and promotional information, customized for each business.

What does the service cost?

Nothing! There is never any cost for the service and you are guaranteed payment for every spot you air. We handle all aspects of the "campaign": the selling, billing, collection and customer service.

We PREPAY for all spots. We provide the copy. You produce the spots. All spots are shipped to you along with the check, approximately one week prior to airing.

Will this conflict with my regular A.E.'s or current advertisers?

Definitely not. Our ideal prospect is one that has never advertised on radio before, and therefore is purely added revenue. However, if we come across business owners that identify themselves as being regular advertisers or working with someone from the radio station, we thank them for their time and gracefully back out of the presentation.

On the other hand, should we come across someone who likes our program but is interested in "results oriented" advertising, we will pass that lead along to your sales staff for a regular sales call.

How long does a campaign last?

Not long. Depending on the size of the market, the bulk of the sales calls will be made in a two to three week period. Generally, spots are scheduled to air four weeks after they are sold. So the whole campaign, from the first sale to the last air date, can be completed within eight to ten weeks.

How often are campaigns conducted?

While the radio stations are guaranteed their money, we do not ask our customers to pay until they are off the air. Subsequently our collection period can extend over a three to four month period. Based on this timing, we would expect to canvass a market no more than two or three times per year. But we never begin calling without approval from the station.

What does it take to get started?

Very little. You need only to determine how many 30 second commercials we can log during each hour and how much you need to net for each spot. We also need a station profile and coverage map, if available. That's it. We take care of everything else. Simply air the spots as they are scheduled and deposit the checks. No work, no expense, no bad debt risk.
